The hardest part of creating the Cyclosys was deciding how much 'gravel' and how much 'trail' to mix in to its capabilities. Make it too much of a gravel racer and it loses the confidence when the road narrows and the rocks get bigger, and of course if it is designed to excel on the roughest double track and single track it will become too sedate on the mellower surfaces. The Cyclosys is a culmination of many many variations over the years, as we have played the edges of what is capable enough without being dull.
Tire clearance up to 700x45 or 650x52 allows for some pretty capable tires to be installed and with these types of bikes, tires define the ride. The Cyclosys is optimized for tires 35-45mm. Change the tires, change the personality of the bike.
Really, at the heart of the Cyclosys is a love of adventure and a desire to enjoy every ride to its fullest. Perfectly tuned for hours and hours of dirt roads or jamming through your favorite single track. The newest version of the Cyclosys cannot be defined as anything other than balanced.
Is the Cyclosys perfect for a local gravel ride / race? How about ripping the local single track that has become mundane on your full suspension mountain bike? Or you scored an entry and are heading to Kansa this year? We think so...
Simply put, we know that you are going to love your new Turner Bike. But given the chance that it just doesn’t seem to fit right, we want to ensure that you will be happy in the long run.
Our customer service rocks and our bikes ride like no other, but in the end, the choice is yours and we will stand behind that choice. If you cannot get comfortable on your new Turner Bike within 5 days of receiving it, give us a call and we will work out a solution, either a different size frame or even a different model.
I've been riding my Cyclosys Ti in various parts of New England since May. I love it!
The geometry lets me power along paved roads, descend loose and firm gravel confidently and navigate single track and chunder that used to be sketchy on my original mountain bike of 25 years ago. It truly is a do-it-all piece of craftsmanship. The titanium frame soaks up chatter and transmits power super well.
TurnerCycles has been totally responsive to my questions and provided great guidance as I built up the bike from the frame and fork I purchased from them.
Highly recommend this fun and awesome bike.
I have had and been riding my Cyclosys for several months now and the first thing I have to say is that the hype about titanium is real. This is undoubtedly the most comfortable bike I’ve ever owned. I’ve been riding and racing (road, CX, and gravel) for nearly 16 years and have owned many bikes and worked in several shops over that time. I was super pleased with the buying experience from Turner, they were extremely helpful answering my sizing questions and their recommendations which I took were spot on. The Cyclosys itself is a very versatile frame. I’ve set mine up with an aggressive race position that I prefer and have found the bike to be extremely responsive and quick when I put the power through the pedals. It’s very stable and inspires confidence on any and every surface and is definitely well designed for any type of riding. Currently it’s my only bike, so I take it on everything from road group rides, gravel rides, solo training, literally everything, and the bike performs outstandingly no matter what type of riding I am doing. The frame really has no wasted compliance and you feel that none of your power or effort is wasted. It is very capable of climbing with ease as well as unleashing some serious speed if the urge to sprint take you. I could not be more pleased with this bike and am loving every ride since I completed building it. I am absolutely loving this bike and riding it and am looking forward to many more miles and lots more fun.
A beautiful frame, better in real life than is the photos. But also a beautiful ride, great balance of stiffness and that plush, muted Ti ride. I’ve been riding my bike for a few weeks, getting it tweaked for tackling Unbound. Built up with Di2 12spd 2x12, Astral Wanderlust wheels and 700c x 44mm slicks. Still has gobs of tire clearance, that ended up being much needed for the peanut butter mud. The bike was flawless for the race. Also got the chance to talk with David at the Expo (and he also spent a lot of time talking to me about details of my build when I ordered the frame). Totally satisfied!
Beautiful frame. Still waiting on parts to finish build. Should be up and running in a couple weeks. Can’t wait for first ride. Buying experience top notch with David!
I'm not really sure where to start. I've had 3 Turners starting way back with the original RFX. I upgraded to the RFX 2.0 and still regard that frame as one of the best full suspension bikes ever made. Given my success with squishy bikes from Dave I figured I'd try my luck at building a drop bar bike. I spent way too much researching and decided on the Cyclosys. I definitely made the right decision!
If you don't know Dave, get to know Dave. He's the most helpful and generous business owner I've dealt with in the bike industry. He answered every single one of my 3,000 questions with grace and attention to detail and led me to build one of the most phenomenal bikes I've ever ridden. Thanks, Dave!
The Cyclosys is everything I hoped for. I set it up with AXS mullet, WTB CZR wheels, and actually chose some carbon Whisky parts to match the fork. The bike is bomb proof. I pedal it 10 miles down a busy road to my local single track where it transforms from a comfy road bike to a trail slayer simply by dropping tire pressure. I'm amazed at how well this thing handles the gnarly, root-filled trails I ride. Dave nailed the geometry and the best part is I never seem to get tired on this bike! The slack geometry has me sitting up right on a comfy seat with a flexible carbon seat post. It's almost like having suspension.
It rides as well as it looks. Bravo, DT! Thanks for the awesome ride and even better customer support. I'll always be a Turner customer.
