Cyclosys Ti - Gravel Frame/Fork
Cyclosys Ti - Gravel Frame/Fork
Description
CYCLOSYS - Premium Ti Frame / ENVE fork / CaneCreek headset.
Where innovation meets performance! This version sees significant changes: 3D-printed dropouts and slimmer seat stays for a smoother ride. The gorgeous 3DP dropouts have flat mount 160mm brake mounting, and like all Turner Ti bikes over the last several years, it has a T47 threaded bottom bracket.
Don't let the reasonable price fool you, this is not a 'budget' gravel bike, the Cyclosys has every feature that is applicable to a premium titanium frame without the bougie pricing.
CNC machine tapered headtube, double butted top tube, double butted down tube and butted seat tube.
We jumped on UDH a couple years ago, making it possible to mount SRAM T Type mountain and gravel rear derailleurs. Of course the frame has the ability to use any rear derailleur made in the last few decades with the UDH.. the choice is yours! Frame can run all mechanical shifting or wireless or even Di2. It will fit both SRAM and Shimano, mechanical and electric front derailleurs. With the beautifully made 3dprinted chain stay half yoke, you can even install 42mm chainline road cranks up to 50/34.

The Cyclosys is a culmination of many many variations over the last several years, as we have played the edges of what is capable enough in the rough without being dull on the rest of your ride. If we make it too much of a gravel racer, it loses the confidence when the road narrows and the rocks get bigger, and of course if a bike is designed to excel on the roughest track it will become a drag on the mellower surfaces. The Cyclosys is perfect.
Tire clearance will easily fit 700x53 or 650x58 allowing for any gravel tires and some awesome mtb tires. For example the rear triangle of the Cyclosys will properly clear a Schwalbe ThunderBurt 29x2.1. With these types of bikes, tires define the ride. Change the tires, change the personality of the bike.
A note on gravel bike geometry: For the best possible performance in the dirt, a gravel bike can not have the same geometry as your current road bike. The Cyclosys seat tube is much shorter than a road bike to expose more seat post, this is to allow some flex between the frame and the rider. The head tube / Stack is taller so that you can comfortably look ahead when riding rough sectors. If you have any questions about which size Cyclosys you would ride, drop us a line at Tech@turnerbikes.com

Dave is spot on with the geometry of this bike. I wasn’t sure if I should get a medium or a large but after telling him my height and road bike size, Dave recommended a large. I guessed that a shorter (80mm) stem would be good and it was! First ride was on the farm roads in southern Illinois and I could not be more stoked. The comfort of titanium and 45c tires made short work those loose gravel roads. If you are a “gravel curious” mountain biker, look no further. This is the one!
There's lots of gravel bikes out these days. Made from all materials. As a mechanic in a shop who's owned several different brands - I got my first taste of titanium with the Turner Cyclosys. I've built, repaired and serviced lots of other brands from Moots, Mosiac, Litespeed and even a Parlee... Plenty of brands are very "proud" of their frames.($) And while I think every manufacturer should get their just desserts from the R&D, I cannot believe the value and quality that I've gotten from my Turner. My build is one of the lighter I've built, I did use mid to high level components. But what is shocking is there are brands with 4x the cost per frame with similar spec that do not ride nor perform any better and were heavier on the scale. The Turner Cyclosys does stand in its own category as not just an affordable titanium frame but also EXTREMELY well built, super compliant when it needs to be, but snappy enough to sprint when asked! It is literally everything I think a gravel bike should be with this material! If you wanted to run a suspension fork, use it in a flatbar manner - nothing would shake it. I love the future proof compatibility with the UDH and T47 BB. Asphalt, mountain roads, gravel, singletrack... Ride whatever you want. The bike enhances the experience to only levels of joy. I have nothing negative to say about the frame at all... I love it was spec'd with an Enve fork - which some people and their experiences could object to. I love the Cane Creek headset it comes with as well... They've only been making some of the best headsets and BBs for awhile. And maybe the looks could be subjective - but I wanted a RAW titanium frame for the simplicity. I know a painter of I chose to go that route, but to me - it doesn't get better than the Turner Cyclosys!
Dave’s bikes never fail to impress. I’ve had a fleet of Turners so far in life and somehow he just keeps making them better. This Ti Cyclosys is such an awesome bike! Looks amazing and the difference in smoothness (coming from an aluminum Cyclosys) is pretty substantial. There is just something about Turner bikes, you just feel comfortable riding them. First ride on this thing and it just fit like a glove. Its gonna be a great summer on this thing! Thanks again Dave!
I am just so happy w my Turner Cyclosys in so many ways, I felt it deserves a review. I can easily say that this is the most capable, comfortable and best performing Ti. gravel bike I have ever owned. While my two prior, L-brand titanium gravel bikes were good. This Turner bike is easily the best. The reasons I like the bike are that it is so stable and forgiving w/out tendencies to bury the front wheel in sand & deep gravel, also very stable on washboard. How it does this without feeling sluggish or poorly responsive is a Cyclosys trait I love. When you purchase a Turner Cyclosys you are getting the benefit of David Turner's substantial background & knowledge on how to design and build a bike that will perform well off-road. David is not afraid to conduct years of development as needed to optimize his products. Indeed, he is known for this, and this bike's design has gone through multiple generations of refinement. Head tube angle, top tube length, chain stay length etc. are just so perfect on the bike in my opinion. I have been riding the Texas Hill Country 30 years mostly gravel for the last 5 years. Summary-I finally found the upscale performance I wanted without a big boutique bike price tag. I am right at 20#'s for size large frame, Enve fork, Enve 44 bars w Industry 9 alum. wheels, SRAM XPLR 1x, 700x45 rubber. One sweet ride for sure.
I've been riding my Cyclosys Ti in various parts of New England since May. I love it!
The geometry lets me power along paved roads, descend loose and firm gravel confidently and navigate single track and chunder that used to be sketchy on my original mountain bike of 25 years ago. It truly is a do-it-all piece of craftsmanship. The titanium frame soaks up chatter and transmits power super well.
TurnerCycles has been totally responsive to my questions and provided great guidance as I built up the bike from the frame and fork I purchased from them.
Highly recommend this fun and awesome bike.
